WHO IS GRXCE?

“Indie-pop quartet GRXCE have taken the Australian sad girl music scene by storm. Their debut EP ‘Sorry For Being Sad’ is a melancholic daydream that captures the angst of coming of age and falling in and out of love. Blending angelic vocals with guitar riffs that’ll get stuck in your head and lyrics pulled straight from your diary, ‘Sorry For Being Sad’ is an unmissable release.”

- Happy Mag

“With honest lyrics and a powerful chorus, the track serves as a fitting final message for the Sydney indie-pop quartet, encouraging listeners to embrace themselves in the present moment, just as they are.”

- Rolling Stone Australia on ‘Someday’

“Having a helluva good time with GRXCE and this track that's all scrunched up love letters and gleeful angst.”

- Dave Ruby Howe (triple j) on ‘Butterflies’

“We have covered this band since its debut single last year and the strength and quality of their singles just continues to develop exponentially – a subtle mix of grunge and pop with a horizon wider than the Simpson Desert and a ceiling higher than sky at night.”

- Backseat Mafia

Are you still searching for the perfect soundtrack to the ups and downs of your life? Well, search no further. Meet GRXCE; the dynamic Eora/Sydney-based trio that are flipping the narrative on what it means to be an indie band in Australia.

Infusing influences from Momma, Paramore, Phoebe Bridgers, Fontaines DC & Wisp, GRXCE are a multi-layered enigma that delve deep into the introspections of womanhood, heartbreak and how it feels to be navigating your 20s in today's world. Much more than just carefully crafted and addictive songwriting, GRXCE are constantly pushing the envelope on how they deliver their work to their listeners.

Most recently the band released a self-produced short film to accompany their debut EP ‘Sorry for Being Sad’ which sold-out Sydney’s iconic Ritz Cinema. The debut record from GRXCE is drenched with equal parts scrunched-up love letters to your past self and melancholy, longing and angst following lead singer Jamila Grace’s personal journey with her mental health and tackling an ADHD diagnosis through her early twenties.

GRXCE has seen consistent and growing support from Australia’s industry tastemakers, landing whopping 12 editorial playlists for their single ‘Gravel Rash’, being named twice as the Best Australian Music of the Week by Rolling Stone and being crowned the next generation of indie by Australia’s largest community radio station, triple j. In 2025 GRXCE continued their glorious rise taking out the triple j Unearthed competition to support Thelma Plum on her regional tour and being announced on the showcase lineup for SXSW Sydney.

The band's live show is also a must-see production described as “precisely put together... balanced like a fine Japanese blade” by a recent review. Precise is definitely an accurate description, weaving segments of their short film throughout their tracks GRXCE have managed to squeeze a stadium-sized experience into a pub-sized room, creating a narrative from start to finish that picks you up, dances alongside you, encourages you to cry, scream and then smile as you cheer and realise you are at the end of the show.

GRXCE are ones to watch for 2025, working on their sophomore EP and finishing up one of their largest runs of live shows featuring sold out headline shows in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney as well as support slots with Royal & The Serpent (US), The Rubens, The Rions, Aleksiah, WAAX Pacific Avenue and more.

GRXCE are ones to watch for 2025 as they roll out their well awaited sophomore EP. Celebrating big feelings with even bigger stage presence and star quality GRXCE are primed to be a band not to be missed on their rise to success.
